How was your week so far? I am sorry, was unwell so I didnt post yesterday.
Today we continue our success series, What do successful people do?... Successful people have a belief. I know some people are going to say 'but there are atheists' and they do well. Let me explain...
A famous scholar is quoted to have said that religion is the 'Opium of the people' and he was right only maybe not in the way you think. There comes a time in life when things do not go according to plan and they just keep going wrong or so it seems. A person has to be on a kind of 'high' or have a belief/support system that will ensure he/she keeps going regardless.
There is no worthwhile activity that a person gets involved in that does not need such kind of support system. There have been a lot of 'would-have-been successful people' that one event in their lives kept them from achieving all they could... they took their lives, took to drugs or had some kind of nervous breakdown because they couldnt handle it, couldnt cope or even saw death as an escape.
Religion or Belief in something affords you the opportunity to give an explanation to the things/events that have or seem to have no meaning so be it scientology, Christianity, Traditional, Muslim or any other religion; We all need a 'high' to help us through the lows.
I missed you yesterday, I'l make up for that by posting something that will be fun to read, random and educative tomorrow.
